Mandatory fees

  • MRV (Machine Readable Visa) application fee: USD 185 for B1/B2. Paid in EGP at designated Egyptian banks via a special deposit slip generated when you start the DS-160 process.
  • Photo: 5x5cm digital upload during DS-160 plus a printed copy as backup. EGP 50 to 150.
  • Travel to the embassy in Cairo or consulate in Alexandria on interview day.

Why no reciprocity fee for Egyptians

Reciprocity fees are charged when the applicant's country charges US citizens a similar fee for the equivalent visa. Egypt does not charge US tourists an entry visa fee on arrival, so Egyptians do not pay a reciprocity fee on US visas. This can change if either country updates its visa policy.

Veeza concierge

Veeza's US concierge fee is quoted on request: send your travel dates on WhatsApp and we reply with a fixed price. The fee covers the DS-160 fill, MRV payment guidance, document organisation, interview prep including a mock session, and post-interview tracking. MRV fees are paid by you directly to the US Embassy bank.

FAQ

Is the MRV fee refundable if my visa is refused?

No. The MRV fee is non-refundable.

How long is the MRV payment valid?

The MRV receipt is valid for one year. You can use it to schedule or reschedule your interview within that window.

Can I pay MRV in USD instead of EGP?

No. Egypt MRV payments are in EGP at designated local banks. The amount is calculated based on the official exchange rate the day you pay.
